Third Kalima Tamjeed in Arabic, Transliteration and Meaning

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
SubhanAllahi wal-hamdu lillahi, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu Akbar. Wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billahil-Aliyyil-Azim.
The third Kalima, Tamjeed (glorification), gathers the four greatest phrases — plus the treasure of Paradise.

سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ وَلَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَاللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ الْعَلِيِّ الْعَظِيمِ
Phrase by phrase
- SubhanAllah — Allah is free of every defect ascribed to Him.
- Alhamdulillah — all praise, gratitude and perfection belong to Allah.
- La ilaha illallah — the testimony itself, heaviest on the scales.
- Allahu Akbar — Allah is greater than every worry, enemy and desire.
- La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah — no power to obey or resist except through Allah.
Why it matters
The Prophet ﷺ said these phrases are the most beloved words to Allah (Muslim), and that each SubhanAllah or Alhamdulillah fills the scales or what is between heaven and earth. The third kalima puts them in one string for daily dhikr.
