لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ
La ilaha illallah, Muhammadur Rasulullah.
The first Kalima, Tayyab (pure word), is the entry to Islam and the core of faith.
First Kalima in Arabic
لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ
Transliteration
La ilaha illallah, Muhammadur Rasulullah.
Meaning
None is worthy of worship except Allah; Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.
Why it matters
- Negation + affirmation: no false gods, only Allah.
- Two parts: Tawheed (Oneness of Allah) and Risalah (Prophethood of Muhammad).
- Recited with belief, understanding and action — prayer, honesty, mercy.
